Lowe’s picks five winners a month in a random drawing and contacts them by phone or email. There is no instant prize at the end of the survey and no code prints on your screen.
That last part catches people out. Other chains hand you a discount code on the spot, so the Lowe’s confirmation screen feels like something went wrong.
What happens the moment you submit
A confirmation screen appears and that is the end of it. No coupon, and usually no email either.
Your answers go into store-level reporting for the branch you rated. Your contact details go into the entry pool for that month.
Keep no expectations beyond that, and the process makes a lot more sense.
How the drawing works
Each monthly entry period closes, then the administrator runs a random drawing from the eligible entries received in that period.
Five winners come out of each drawing, each receiving $500. Twelve drawings across the sweepstakes period makes 60 winners a year.
Odds depend entirely on how many entries landed that month, and Lowe’s does not publish entry counts. Any site quoting you a precise probability invented it.
How winners are told
By telephone or email, using the details typed in at the end of the survey. That is why a working number matters more than people think.
Winners get a short window to respond once contacted. Miss it and the prize can be forfeited and redrawn.
Check spam folders in the days after a monthly period closes if you entered near the end of it.
Is there a winners list you can check
Yes. The survey start page carries a sweepstakes winners list link, sitting right next to the official rules link.
That is the only public record Lowe’s publishes. There is no lookup where you type your ID and see whether it won.
If a site claims to check your entry status for you, it cannot. Nobody outside the administrator has that data.
How the $500 arrives
As a check, not a Lowe’s gift card and not store credit. That distinction matters because a lot of pages online still say gift card.
A check can be spent anywhere. It also means the money is yours whether or not you ever shop at Lowe’s again.
Sweepstakes winnings are generally treated as taxable income in the US. What you owe depends on your own situation, so ask a tax professional. A survey blog is not the place to settle it.
If someone contacts you about winning
Slow down before replying. Fake prize notifications are common around every large retailer sweepstakes.
A real notification does not ask you to pay a fee, buy a gift card, or send a card number to release the prize. None of that is ever part of it.
If you never entered, you did not win. That is the simplest test there is.
