To enter the Lowe’s $500 sweepstakes you must be a legal resident of the United States or Washington D.C., and at least 18 and the age of majority in your state. Lowe’s employees are excluded.
Those four lines decide most of it. The rest of this page is the detail that trips people up.
Age and residency
Eighteen is the floor, but the rules add the age of majority in your own state. In a handful of states that is higher than 18.
Residency means legal US residency, plus Washington D.C. A Lowe’s store visit while on holiday does not make a visitor eligible.
Canada is a separate matter entirely. Lowe’s Canada operations run their own programmes and this sweepstakes does not cover them.
Who is shut out
Current Lowe’s employees, and anyone employed there in the previous six months. That six month tail catches people who assume leaving the company resets things.
Household members of those employees are excluded too, which is broader than it first sounds.
Entries are also void where prohibited, so state law can remove eligibility even if you meet everything else.
How many times you can enter
One entry per person and per email address in each monthly entry period. Not one per receipt.
So three receipts in one month still gives you one entry. A second attempt returns an already completed message, which people misread as a website fault.
Across the whole sweepstakes period, one prize per household. Two people at the same address can enter, but the household takes one prize at most.
The dates that frame everything
The current sweepstakes period runs from 31 January 2026 to 29 January 2027, divided into twelve monthly entry periods.
Each monthly period closes with its own random drawing, and five winners are selected from it.
Sixty checks go out across the year. That is the whole prize pool, and it is worth knowing before you decide whether five minutes is a fair trade.
What you have to give up to enter
A name, a phone number and an email address, because a winner has to be reachable. Nothing more.
The real survey never asks for a card number or a Social Security number at the entry stage. A page that does is not run by Lowe’s.
Winners are asked to respond within a short window once contacted. An unused inbox is a genuine way to lose $500.
Who runs the drawing
Lowe’s Companies, Inc. sponsors it, from 1000 Lowes Blvd, Mooresville, North Carolina.
An outside firm named in the rules, Cohen-Friedberg Associates of Falmouth, Massachusetts, administers the sweepstakes and handles postal entries.
Splitting sponsor and administrator is standard practice for US sweepstakes and is a sign the thing is run properly.
Eligibility questions people ask
Can a 17 year old enter with a parent’s permission?
No. The entrant has to meet the age requirement themselves.
Can two people in one house each enter?
They can each enter, but only one prize goes to a household across the whole sweepstakes period.
I left Lowe’s four months ago, can I enter?
Not yet. The exclusion covers employment in the previous six months.
Does a Pro or contractor account change anything?
No. The eligibility rules are the same whoever the shopper is.
Is there a Lowe’s survey in Canada?
Not this one. This sweepstakes is limited to US residents and Washington D.C.
