The Lowe’s survey ID is an 18-digit number printed near the bottom of your receipt, under the block about five $500 winners. It is the only thing the survey page asks you for before the questions start.
Type it as one run of 18 digits. The gaps printed on the paper are there so you can read it, not so you can copy them in.
Where exactly to look on the paper
Start at the bottom and work up. Below the totals and the payment line there is a barcode, then a thank-you line, then a dotted separator.
Under that separator sits the feedback block. It opens with YOUR OPINIONS COUNT and then a line about registering for a chance to be one of five $500 winners drawn monthly.
The same message is repeated in Spanish on the next two lines, which is a useful landmark if the English print has faded.
Directly under that block is a line beginning YOUR ID, followed by the 18 digits in three groups of six.
What the number looks like
Eighteen digits, no letters. Lowe’s own survey page shows an example in the format 123456789012345678, so if you are counting fewer than 18 you have missed a group.
The first group usually matches the store number printed higher up the receipt, which is a quick way to check you are reading the right line.
There are no dashes in the real number. If you see one on a screenshot somewhere, someone added it for readability.
Why the survey rejects an ID that looks correct

What if there is no ID block on your receipt
Not every slip carries one. Very short receipts, some returns, and certain online order printouts come out without the survey block.
That is not a dead end. The official rules allow a free entry by post, so you can still get into the same monthly drawing with no purchase at all.

Can you use a photo of the receipt
Yes, and it is the smarter move. Thermal receipt ink fades within weeks in a warm car, sometimes within days.
Photograph the bottom of the receipt while the print is still sharp. You only need the digits, not the whole slip.
Do not post that photo publicly. The ID is single-use, and anyone who sees it can burn your entry before you get to it.
