You can enter the Lowe’s $500 monthly sweepstakes without buying anything. The official rules require a free route, and it is a hand-printed card posted to the sweepstakes administrator.
No purchase necessary to enter or win. That line is printed on the bottom of every Lowe’s receipt, right under the survey ID.
Why a free route has to exist
Because a prize draw that requires a purchase stops being a sweepstakes under US law and becomes something regulators treat very differently.
So sponsors build in an alternate method of entry, usually a posted card. Lowe’s is no exception.
The practical effect is that the $500 draw is open to anyone eligible, whether or not they have set foot in a store.
What to write on the card
Hand-print your details on a card measuring four inches by five. Handwritten, not typed and printed.
Include the information the current official rules ask for, which is normally your full name, address, city, state, ZIP, phone number and email address.
Check the wording in the rules before you post. Sponsors change the required fields between periods, and a card missing a field is a wasted stamp.

The sweepstakes administrator handles entries, not a Lowe’s store. The address in the current rules is PO Box 0368, Falmouth, MA 02556-0368.
The administrator named in those rules is Cohen-Friedberg Associates, based in Falmouth, Massachusetts. That is normal for a sweepstakes of this size and not a sign of anything odd.
Post it in time for the monthly period you are aiming at. A card that lands after a drawing goes into the next one, assuming the sweepstakes is still running.

The one real difference is the feedback. A posted card enters you in the draw but tells Lowe’s nothing about your visit.
How many free entries you can send
One entry per person and per email address counts in each monthly entry period. A household can take only one prize across the whole sweepstakes period.
So twelve cards across the year is the honest ceiling for one person, not twelve cards this month.
Stuffing an envelope with cards under different names is the fastest way to have every one of them thrown out.

Yes, beyond the cost of the card and the stamp. No purchase is necessary to enter or win.
